R507A(HFC) Refrigerant BLENDED REFRIGERANT GAS:R125/R143A:50/50
R507A (also designated as R-507) is an azeotropic HFC refrigerant blend composed of 50% R125 (pentafluoroethane) and 50% R143a (1,1,1-trifluoroethane). Unlike R410A which has a slight temperature glide, R507A is fully azeotropic - meaning it behaves as a single substance during evaporation and condensation, with zero temperature glide. Its thermodynamic properties closely match those of the now-banned CFC R502, making R507A the proven drop-in replacement for medium and low-temperature commercial refrigeration systems.

FAQ
Is R507A the same as R404A? Can they be used interchangeably?
R507A and R404A share base components (R125 + R143a), but R507A is fully azeotropic (50/50 blend) while R404A adds 4% R134a making it near-azeotropic. They have nearly identical pressure-temperature characteristics but should not be mixed in the same system. R507A's zero-glide property makes it preferred for low-temperature applications.
How should R507A be stored and handled?
Store cylinders in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Recommended storage temperature: <45 °C (113 °F). R507A is classified as A1 (non-flammable), but its decomposition products at high temperatures include HF - always ensure adequate ventilation.
Do you supply R507A for the European market under F-Gas quotas?
R507A's GWP of 3,985 places it under strict F-Gas phase-down in the EU. It may still be supplied for servicing existing equipment subject to available quotas. We recommend EU buyers transition to R448A or R449A for new installations.
What documentation comes with each shipment?
Every R507A order ships with: Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Dangerous Goods Declaration (UN 1078, Class 2.2).
Can R507A be used in air conditioning systems?
No. R507A is designed specifically for medium and low-temperature refrigeration applications (evaporator temperatures between -40 °C and -5 °C). For air conditioning, use R410A or R32.
