Air conditioners are more common in people's lives, and they are used more frequently, especially in hot summer. As for the selection of air-conditioning materials, many people do not know much about them. For the selection of indoor and outdoor connection materials for air-conditioning, it is recommended that you use copper pipes. So why does air-conditioning use copper pipes? What are the disadvantages of using aluminum pipes?

The connection between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit of the air conditioner requires connection materials. The materials commonly used to connect the indoor unit and the outdoor unit of the air conditioner are copper pipes and aluminum pipes. At present, the most commonly used air-conditioning connection material is air-conditioning copper pipe. why? Because the refrigerant eventually absorbs heat in the evaporator and releases heat in the condenser, the outside of the air-conditioning copper pipe is also connected to the heat sink, and the refrigerant (Freon, commonly known as snow) passes through the connecting pipe. Therefore, the quality of the copper tube used for this refrigerant directly affects the cooling effect of the air conditioner.

The copper tube has high-pressure resistance, is not easy to corrode, and has a longer service life than the aluminum tube; the thermal conductivity of the refrigeration copper tube is much better than that of the aluminum tube, and the welding performance and mechanical strength are far better than that of the aluminum tube. Of course, the price of the air-conditioning copper tube will also be a bit more expensive than aluminum tubes. In order to save money or be greedy for cheap, many consumers thin the copper pipes of refrigerators and air conditioners or directly use aluminum pipes. The price is relatively lower, but the performance is of course much worse than that of copper pipes, and the cooling effect is not comparable The cooling effect of copper pipes is good.

Due to their low density and soft texture, aluminum tubes cannot compare with copper tubes in terms of mechanical properties and bending properties. In addition, aluminum and copper have different densities and different cross-sections. If aluminum pipes and copper pipes are used to connect, the connection may not be welded firmly, which may easily cause refrigerant leakage or even an explosion. The copper-aluminum connection is easy to cause corrosion of the aluminum tube, resulting in poor cooling and heating effect, and even causing the air conditioner to not work properly. Due to the different materials, the life of the aluminum tube is almost half of that of the copper tube, and the cooling effect is relatively poor. Since the bending performance is worse than that of the copper tube, if the consumer wants to move the machine, it is very difficult to bend the aluminum tube again. Basically, A new tube needs to be replaced.
